How to Get Rid of That Wrinkle in Time For That Special Date

December 29, 2008

Wrinkles are something of a phenomenon when it comes to the area of dermatology. Some of us get wrinkles at a relatively early age and the rest of us accept that having wrinkles is one of those side effects of getting old. While we might not all live in Beverly Hills where appearances determine social life or death, some view wrinkles as the plague of Old England, and will do anything to get rid of them. For those who are young at heart and who happen to have a special date in a few hours, I will show you how to get rid of that wrinkle in time for that special date. If you think that wrinkles rate about the same as having your nose sawn off, or having an acne explosion that is almost Biblical in proportions, here are some useful ways for you to get rid of that unwanted smile - around your smile.

The most popular way that comes to mind - thanks to the multitude of TV commercials and drama serials on TV - is of course the plastic surgery’s version of the fast food solution, which is Botox. This magic injection can get rid of any sort of wrinkles, from those mild shadows on the face to those deep gashes some shun away from. Botox is not a permanent solution; it’s like buying into a product that will always need tune ups, you need to go back to the plastic surgeons office every other few months for a shot. Joining this family of ‘inject it there’ solutions is of course the use of collagens, a sort of liquid hyaluronic formula that can be injected straight into the wrinkles using a fine needle. Of course for those of us who do not actually like to have something poked into our wrinkled caricatures, then of course the obvious solution would be to use the plethora of anti wrinkle creams or serums that you can buy of the shelf. Ranging from a piddling $20 a pop to thousands of dollars, these creams give you a very temporary but very quick relief from wrinkles.

This is one of the best non invasive ways for you to prep for your date. If you are a woman, you always have the benefit of makeup tools like heavy foundation and some Moulin rouge to spice up the face and distract the attention away from the wrinkles. If you are a man, well wearing make up or any sort of cream might not be the perfect solution. Put it down to charm; people like Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan has had wrinkles and leveraged on it to add to their charm. Do the same. While you might not like James Bond you can affect the Scottish accent and promise to play some tennis around ‘tennish’. All jokes aside, I think the best way that anyone can solve their skin problems, including wrinkles, is for you to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Maintain a healthy diet. This way, you won’t have to resort to fretting around the house, trying to figure out a way how to get rid of that wrinkle in time for that special date.
